How ya’ll doing? It’s been a lil bit since I’ve blogged so here I am. So nothing new of the adoption as of yet. But some exciting things are taking place. Last month Tim and I decided to help out with an event at our church called One Night which is for all the middle school and high school kids to come from each local campuses to just have a night of worship and games and fellowship. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! I loved it so much. It’s a little bit more upbeat and energetic than our normal Sunday services. A few days after, one of the leaders texted me to see if I’d like to have coffee with her so I agreed. We talked about how Tim and I came into the church and a little about our backgrounds. She then asked me if I had thought about leading a small group geared towards teens. Now to be honest, before her asking me I probably would of said a flat out no. I felt that I wasn’t “qualified” to do so since I can’t quote scripture or know my way around the bible. But in all actuality….no one really is. Let me clarify a bit. What I’m trying to say is if God brings you to it and sets something on your heart or you just have this nagging thought of something, you should probably jump into it regardless if you know what you’re doing or not. Something miraculous happens when you do so. God will meet you where you are and give you everything you need. All you have to do is just trust him. Start learning to say YES to everything because in the process you will find your purpose!¬†With that being said, I will also be helping out with the high school camp in July and lead a group at camp. I have no idea what to expect but I know without a doubt that it will be amazing. It will be a life changing experience.

This past Sunday at church we attended the small group leader training. That way when the time comes we’re set up to start our groups. Groups. Yeah, as in more than one possibly. For sure we are going to do one for adoption. It’ll be open to everyone wanting to know more, people thinking of, going thru, went thru, and wanting to help. I just read a book called Adopted for Life by Russell Moore. EVERYONE NEEDS TO GET THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW AND READ IT!

I’m not even joking. It ties everything back to scripture and answers a lot of questions everyone tends to have. We will most likely base our group off of this book. Tim and I feel we need to do this. To open up to everyone that’s even slightly thought of adoption. No ones there to force you to do it. Everyone could use more information on adoption regardless if you are adopting or not. I feel like we will start a huge wave in our church. So many ideas are flowing thru my mind and I’m just trusting God will foresee everything thru. Big things will be coming.

So if everyone can keep us in your prayers it would be greatly appreciated! And also if any of you need any special prayer please send me a message and we will be glad to do so for you. God Bless!
